Also I like the length of the old handle but I want to make it a little shorter like a cruiser, just for packability, even though it will obviously be carried on the outside of my pack. Also anyone know of a good leather maker, where I can get a very simple affordable mask without having to wait 2 years? Let's hear some ideas! Although the name Kelly was continued for some time, none of the Kelly offspring are known to have been involved any longer. Jersey and Michigan axes are long-handled axes, with hot-forged steel heads and narrowing slopes, or bits, leading to the sharpened edge, or bevel. The Jersey axe only comes with a single bit, or one blade. The Michigan axe is available as either a single bit or double bit. Double bit axes have two sharpened blades facing in opposite directions.
